On 5 October 2023, we were exhibiting at ABISS digital Summit 2023 in Kortrijk Xpo.
This summit was entirely dedicated to industrial digital transformation. It was the place to be for everyone looking for smart solutions for tomorrow’s connected organization.

What was there to explore?

Various technology suppliers gave demos and shared best practices. During these expert classes, you could delve into topics such as the role of AI, the digital transformation process and the digital twin. At our booth, we interacted with quite a few established companies looking for digital solutions or tackling technical challenges.

Here are our findings:

  • Security is a top priority and a constant concern for factories that invest to connect to their equipment.
  • Many companies work with in-house developed software, but struggle to find qualified people to keep up with the increasing demand for more connectivity in manufacturing.
  • Many AI projects are in progress in the manufacturing sector, often for quality control or to improve the performance of (human) operators.
  • Manufacturing engineers, unlike their administrative colleagues, are not a fan of the SAAS model.
